D&D 3rd Edition Character Sheet 2.3

D&D Sheet Page OneD&D Sheet Page Two

D&D Sheet Page ThreeD&D Sheet Page Four

EXPANDED PSIONICS HANDBOOK AND UNEARTHED ARCANA COMPATIBLE SHEET! I have exploited the layer support in Acrobat 6 to produce a version of my D&D character sheet which is somewhat customizable. By turning on or off layers (and you may have to play around for a while to figure out what's what), you can customize the sheet to match many of the optional rules from Unearthed Arcana. You can also choose whether or not you're using Psionics, and whether you want 3.5, 3.0, or Untrained skills listed. Using Spell Points? No problem. Taint? Honor? No sweat. Doubtless this will need some tweaking, so send your suggestions. REQUIRES ACROBAT 6 TO WORK PROPERLY!

Necromancer Ultimate Character and Combat Sheets

Nec Sheet p1Ult Sheet p2Ult Combat Sheet

These sheets were meant to accompany a set of Necromancer Games booklets on the "Ultimate" character types, but the project fell through. The combat sheet concept was Clark Peterson's; I just actualized it. Record your combat bonuses, spell effects, etc. so as to be better prepared for that next fight. With Clark's kind permission, I am posting these for your enjoyment.

D&D Basic Game Character Sheet 1.0

JG Sheet p1JG Sheet p2

Essentially the same sheet as on pages 5 and 6 of the Advanced Rule Book, but I've provided a PDF form version that you can type directly on, a sample form filled out with Eberk the Dwarf's stats, and another sheet version with a more readable heading font.

Judges Guild Character Sheet 1.0

JG Sheet p1JG Sheet p2

Another "old school" sheet! I am proud to say I got tapped to make the offical Judges Guild character sheet, which is fully 3.5-compatible.

D&D 3rd Edition Character Sheet 2.2

D&D Sheet Page OneD&D Sheet Page Two

D&D Sheet Page ThreeD&D Sheet Page Four

Thanks to the arrival of my copy of Dragon magazine, I was able to see what immediate changes I would have to make to my sheets conform to the forthcoming D&D 3.5 rules (although there is a 3.0-compatible version below, too). The "form" version is a PDF form that you can type directly on. After a hard day of JavaScripting, it performs some useful calculations for you, and like all my sheets, you can click on the portrait area to insert a graphic of your character. The different versions below use different fonts to emulate the look and feel of various campaign settings. International versions forthcoming, with your help!

This alternate version lists only those Skills which can be used untrained, but with plenty of skill blanks, allowing you to write in whichever skills you want:

Another alternate version omits psionics skills and attack and defense modes for those games not using psionics:

If you like the general layout of the 2.2 sheet but are still using the 3.0 rules, you can download this sheet:

This version of the sheet is formatted for the A4 paper size:

Special thanks to Keoki Young for his help with the Russian translation!

Necromancer Games Character Sheet 1.0

Necromancer Sheet p1Necromancer Sheet p2

Necromancer Games "gets it." Their motto is "Third Edition Rules, First Edition Feel," and so when I spoke with them about making them a character sheet, it was only natural that I make one that pays homage to the cramped, idiosyncratic style of the old TSR character sheets from First Edition D&D. Print it on goldenrod paper for maximum nostalgia effect!

Map of Damara

Map of Damara

A map of Damara in the Forgotten Realms. Our 3e campaign was set there, so I set out to update the more detailed map from FR9 The Bloodstone Lands to the new map style adopted with the advent of Third Edition. Should be useful to games moving to the periphery of The Unapproachable East.

Overview of Steppenhall

Steppenhall p1Steppenhall p2

The town of Stepenhall, in the Kingdom of Damara, the Forgotten Realms. Our 3e party was based here, so I created this map in the style of those in the new Forgotten Realms 3e style. This is a two-page document with a brief description of the important locales in town.

Return to Saltmarsh Maps

Return to Saltmarsh p1Return to Saltmarsh p2Return to Saltmarsh p3

Not long after Third Edition came out, I started working on a "Return To" adventure based on my favorite old school module, The Sinister Secret of Saltmarsh, in the spirit of Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil. Well, I have yet to finish it, but what the hell, here are some of the maps!

Map of Brindinford

Steppenhall p1

We ran the WotC adventure The Speaker in Dreams as part of our Forgotten Realms campaign, and set its town of Brindinford just south of Lurkwood, west of the Silver Marches. So I tweaked the map to make it look a little more like the current Forgotten Realms style (if not as successfully as Steppenhall, above). Anyway, for anyone who still hasn't run The Speaker in Dreams, it might make a useful player handout.

D&D 3rd Edition Character Sheet 1.6

D&D Sheet Page OneD&D Sheet Page Two

D&D Sheet Page ThreeD&D Sheet Page Four

I think I've more or less settled on the revision to my sheet. I'm calling this version 1.6 and it adds some things (notably psionics) but is mostly a tweaking of my 1.0 sheet with some other things stolen from my other d20 system sheets. Form, international versions, and different fonts on the way. These versions will at least let you paste in your own pictures.

D&D 3rd Edition Character Sheet 1.0

Some of you enjoyed my "beta" 3e sheet I released before the much-anticipated release of the Dungeons & Dragons 3rd Edition Player's Handbook. Now that I have a better idea of what one needs to put on a 3e sheet, I am releasing what I consider a much improved design. Hopefully, it features much more room than some others out there. Additionally, I like a "feel" to my sheets, so while a sheet mimicking TSR's 3e formatting is made available, so too are sheets for your Forgotten Realms or Greyhawk games.

To help you figure out what I intended for some areas of the sheet, I am including a sample character. However, feel free to use the sheets to suit yourself!

Note: to allow individual sheets to be updated quickly, and to work around a problem zipping sometimes seems to cause with PDF files, I am now making them separate downloads.

International versions:

I have Portuguese, German, and Spanish versions in the works. Special thanks to Roodie for the Hungarian translation, and Rashkatsa (Bruce Vinchon) for the French translation!

D&D 3rd Edition Spellbook Sheet 1.0

After a longer wait that I had anticipated, here's a supplemental sheet for your spellcasting characters, allowing you to record the important facts for your spells and to mark off how many you've memorized. This is a PDF form, so you can type directly on to the sheet.

2/9/03: I had fixed a bug a looong time ago but the links were still pointing to the old copies! Fixed that, and made sure the French version is an up-to-date form version.

D&D 3rd Edition Adventure Record 1.0

By popular demand, here's my first stab at updating my AD&D 2nd Edition Adventure Record for use with the Third Edition rules. I'm sure it will need some tinkering (after all, it's not as extensively field tested as was the 2nd Edition sheet) but it should help you keep track of your characters' important info during your dungeon crawls.

Fixed Living Greyhawk Character Sheet

Some people prefer 2-page sheets, and WotC's sheets are adequate. Unfortunately, they released a version similar to the one in the Player's Handbook for the Living Greyhawk campaign and forgot to embed the fonts in the file. I fixed that as a service to the Living Greyhawk players who want to use this sheet.

Note that this sheet was not in any way modified save to restore the fonts to the ones Wizards should have embedded. It is their sheet and their design!

D&D 3rd Edition Character Sheet Beta

OK, so in a couple of days we'll see the much-hyped third edition of Dungeons & Dragons. I like much of what I've seen so far! To celebrate the occasion, I retooled my AD&D sheet to give us all somewhere to write down our 3e character info, and I present it before the game even hits the shelves. Please let me know what you think so I can fine-tune it!
